Our Children’s Ministry at FUMC Alamosa is a growing ministry for our community. We are constantly dreaming and expanding possibilities for involvement as we encourage our children in the faith and lean into them discovering their gifts and interests and voice as beloved children of God!
Children’s Ministry
We want to welcome Lynnette Witt as our new Sunday School & Children’s Ministry Director!
Children’s Sunday School takes place during worship (~11:30AM)
The first Sunday of the month we have an after worship Sunday School for our kids of all ages where we play, discuss and engage with our lesson from worship with any questions that popped up for them. Encouraging curiosity and building responsibility is important for the Wesleyan faith…plus it makes for some wonderful conversations around ritual, practice, and interpretation.
Once a year, usually in the fall, we have an all children’s led worship where the children/youth preach, choose the scriptures, hymns, and prayers, and lead us in worship and teaching through their lens!
